PU/PIR sandwich panel

Introduction

Polyurethane sandwich panels are composed of metal finishes and rigid polyurethane foam cores, forming a highly integrated and low-energy-consuming sandwich structure. The extremely low thermal conductivity locks in the indoor temperature, making it warm in winter and cool in summer, significantly reducing operational energy consumption. Lightweight and high-strength, it can be hoisted into position in one step, reducing the burden on the main body and shortening the construction period. Fireproof, soundproof and weather-resistant, polyurethane sandwich panels are widely recognized in the construction industry for their outstanding insulation performance, structural integrity and lightweight structure. They are the preferred solution for cold storage, clean rooms, prefabricated buildings and industrial enclosures.

Product advantages

Thermal insulation performance

Polyurethane composite panels have excellent insulation effects. Under ideal conditions, the insulation effect of a 50mm polyurethane composite panel is equivalent to that of a 1720mm brick wall.

Fire resistance performance

Polyurethane composite boards have excellent fire resistance and feature self-extinguishing when removed from the fire source. Their fire resistance rating can reach B1 level.

Energy conservation and environmental protection

Polyurethane composite panels are energy-saving and environmentally friendly. Due to their easy installation and recyclability, the reuse rate of the panels has been greatly improved.

Diverse types

Polyurethane composite panels come in a variety of shapes and can be customized to meet all personalized demands.

Ultra-low thermal conductivity

Its extremely low thermal conductivity can easily enable buildings to achieve the required insulation and heat preservation performance, prevent condensation, reduce wall thickness, and increase the usable space of buildings.

Application field

Industrial building
Large-span roofs and walls for factories, warehouses and hangars are lightweight, high-strength, heat-insulating and soundproof, reducing energy consumption and steel usage.

Cold chain logistics
Cold storage rooms, processing workshops, logistics centers and refrigerated trucks, with low thermal conductivity and high sealing, maintain constant temperature and humidity and reduce cold loss.

Public and commercial buildings
Airport terminals, exhibition halls, shopping centers, hotels, etc., taking into account both aesthetic finish and energy-saving performance, quick assembly shortens the construction period.

Modularization and cleanrooms
Container houses, emergency hospitals, electronic clean workshops, and laboratories are flat, seamless, and disassemblable, meeting the dual requirements of cleanliness and temperature control.

Transportation
Rail vehicles, ship bulkhead, dry cargo carriages, lightweight and self-weight reduction, providing heat insulation, sound insulation and flame retardant protection.

Renovation of existing buildings
Adding layers to old roofs and exterior walls results in a minimal increase in load but a significant improvement in energy efficiency, making it an ideal enclosure solution for green upgrades.

Explanation of Matters

The name of the board is polyurethane sandwich panel

The panel width ranges from 500mm to 1150mm

The panel length is less than 11.8 meters due to transportation

Polyurethane type

PUR (polyurethane) : It has a relatively low cost, with an R value of approximately 0.022-0.024 W/m·K

PIR (polyisocyanurate) : It has higher fire resistance and a slightly higher R value (approximately 0.020-0.023 W/m·K).

Polyurethane process flow chart

This diagram shows the production process of polyurethane. The first steps are unwinding, laminating and pressing into shape. Next, spraying, preheating and foaming endow the material with polyurethane properties. Afterwards, the materials are guided, cut to the appropriate size, cooled and stabilized, and finally unloaded and packaged. .

Compliance with industry standards and regulations

EN 13501-1; Fire resistance performance grades (e.g. B-s2,d0, B-s1,d0)

ISO 9001 / ISO 14001: Quality and Environmental Management System

FM Certification/ASTM E84: American Standard for Flame Spread and Smoke Formation

RoHS/REACH: Chemical Safety and Environmental Compliance

CE marking: EU Structural Safety and Health Compliance

Installation Guide and Safety Precautions

Substructure

Adopt steel frame or reinforced concrete structure to ensure flatness and firmness.

The panel is fixed with self-tapping screws in combination with EPDM rubber gaskets to prevent water seepage and damage from thermal expansion and contraction.

2. Sealing and surface treatment

Continuously apply silicone or polyurethane sealant to the joints to form a wind and rain barrier.

Special flashing boards and edge trim strips are installed at corners, eaves, and the junctions of walls and roofs to prevent rainwater from flowing back in.

3. Handling and storage

The plates are horizontally stacked on a flat ground to avoid local deformation.

When hoisting, use slings with edge protection to prevent scratches on the board edges or cracking of the core material.

During storage and transportation, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to prevent the surface coating from aging.

4. Safety Instructions

Workers must wear gloves, goggles and dust masks. Foam debris produced during cutting or handling may contain MDI particles. Avoid skin contact and inhalation.
