PU edge-sealed rock wool sandwich panel

Introduction

Polyurethane edge-sealed rock wool sandwich panels are "sandwich"; panels formed by one-time compounding of high-quality rock wool core materials with hard polyurethane foam edge-sealing on both sides and covering both sides with metal panels. The sandwich panels sealed with polyurethane have outstanding heat insulation performance, non-combustibility and structural durability, which are combined with the A-level fire resistance and sound absorption advantages of rock wool. The polyurethane edge sealing ensures air tightness and water resistance, overcoming the shortcomings of traditional rock wool such as easy moisture absorption and low strength, while retaining the characteristics of metal enclosure such as light weight, beauty and quick construction. The panels are easy to install and require little maintenance, making them a long-term choice for cold storage facilities and commercial and industrial buildings. With a lifespan of over 25 years, it is economical, green and applicable in multiple scenarios, providing sustainable high-performance enclosure solutions for modern engineering.

Product features

Fire prevention: Rock wool is made from minerals such as basalt and is classified as an A-level non-combustible material. It can effectively prevent the spread of fire and enhance building safety. With A melting point exceeding 1000°C, it can provide passive fire protection

Thermal insulation: Rock wool has a low thermal conductivity, which can effectively reduce heat transfer, improve the insulation effect of buildings, and lower energy consumption.

Sound insulation: The porous structure of rock wool can absorb sound waves and reduce noise transmission, making it suitable for places that require sound insulation.

Corrosion resistance: Rock wool has stable chemical properties, is resistant to acid and alkali corrosion, and is suitable for various environments with a long service life.

High compressive strength: Rock wool has a dense structure and high compressive strength, making it suitable for applications that require load-bearing.

Rock wool polyurethane insulation wall panels are a type of sandwich panel, and their composition is as follows:

Outer layer: Usually made of galvanized or pre-coated steel plates.

Core: Composed of double-layer insulation materials - polyurethane foam (PU) has heat insulation performance, and rock wool (mineral wool) has fireproof and soundproof performance.

These layers are bonded by pressure to ensure their durability, rigidity and stability during the temperature cycling process.

Application field

Industrial building
The roofs and exterior walls of steel structure workshops, metallurgical and chemical workshops, power plants and warehouses take into account both fire compartments and energy conservation and consumption reduction.

Cold chain logistics
Cold storage rooms, frozen truck compartments, and food processing and distribution centers provide a continuous low-temperature environment and reduce cooling energy consumption.

Public and transportation hubs
The large-span roofs of airport terminals, railway stations, sports venues, exhibition centers, etc. meet the requirements of being lightweight, fireproof, soundproof and aesthetically pleasing.

Clean and hygienic places
Pharmaceuticals, electronic cleanrooms, laboratories, hospitals and schools create comfortable and safe Spaces by taking advantage of their dust-proof, mold-proof, easy-to-clean and sound-absorbing properties.

Commercial and civil buildings
Renovation of the exterior walls of shopping centers, office buildings, apartments and residences to achieve high energy-saving standards and enrich the facade effects.

Special environment
High-noise equipment workshops, livestock breeding bases, new energy plants, etc., provide long-term protection with sound insulation, weather resistance and corrosion resistance properties

Compliance with industry standards and regulations

EN 14509: Structural Requirements for Sandwich Panels

ASTM C1363: Test for thermal properties

EN ISO 1182: Fire test

ISO 140-3: Sound Insulation of Building components

The panels must also comply with local building codes, such as IBC (International Building Code) and LEED certification for sustainable buildings.

Installation and operation precautions

The substructure: The roof supports must be sufficient to bear the self-weight of the panels and loads such as wind and snow, while reserving space for deformation due to thermal expansion and contraction.

Panel connection: Select matching fasteners and compatible sealants to form a continuous barrier, which takes into account wind and rain protection as well as thermal bridge isolation.

Handling: Handle with care to avoid bumps to the rock wool core and metal finish, and keep the panel intact.

Vapor barrier: Continuously lay the vapor barrier to prevent moisture from entering and causing a decline in insulation performance.

Fire safety: All auxiliary materials must meet the corresponding fire resistance grades to ensure the overall fire resistance performance of the system.

Maintenance: Regularly inspect the coating corrosion, mechanical damage and the integrity of the sealant. Timely handling can significantly extend the service life.
